Centenary is a community of learners distinguished by a diverse student body, a dedicated faculty and staff, and stimulating educational opportunities. As the primary educational and cultural resource for northwest New Jersey, Centenary offers a range of undergraduate, graduate and professional programs as well as non-degree courses for professional and personal development.
Centenary is an independent college offering bachelor degree programs and associate degree programs in the liberal arts and career areas and master degree programs in business administration, counseling, counseling psychology, education, English, special education, public administration, and psychoanalysis, and on line masters. Certification programs are also offered in many areas.
Centenary is located in Hackettstown, New Jersey. Hackettstown is a vibrant, 150 year old Victorian village filled with charming stores, antique shops, and bed and breakfasts. Hackettsown is just fifty miles from New York City — one of the world's great cultural and entertainment centers. Our college sponsors many trips to New York City for both academics and recreation.
Centenary College offers “rolling admissions”, meaning that we evaluate each application as soon as it is complete and notify the applicant within a few weeks of the Admissions Committee's decision. With this method, the sooner your son or daughter applies, the sooner he or she will be notified in order to better compete the admissions process. Keep in mind that the Early Decision Deadline is December 15th.
The Centenary College internship program strives to provide students with the opportunity to apply academic knowledge in a work world setting allowing the student to gain valuable experience needed to enter the job market. Qualified students are matched with an internship directly related to their area of study and career interests. Internships provide students with the skills and tools necessary to be successful in their chosen careers.
