Whether you are a high school student continuing on to college or an adult returning to school for your undergraduate degree or graduate degree, if making your dreams a reality includes quality higher education, The College of New Rochelle can guide you to success. With a student to faculty ratio of only 10 to 1, at CNR, professors know our students personally and care about their individual goals. Since the College was founded more than a century ago, we have provided more than 40,000 graduates with the solid educational foundation – the wisdom for life – essential to aid them in realizing their dreams.
The main CNR campus is situated on 20 suburban acres in New Rochelle, NY, 16 miles north of Manhattan. Proximity to New York City facilitates internships, honors and cooperative programs and excursions to museums, plays and shops. The area, with its numerous parks, recreational areas and Long Island Sound, is easily accessible via Amtrak and Metro-North trains or any of the four area airports, all located within an hour of the College. In addition to the main campus, the School of New Resources maintains five branch campuses including the Co-op City Campus, the DC 37 Campus, the John Cardinal O'Connor Campus in the South Bronx, the Brooklyn Campus and the Rosa Parks Campus in Harlem.
One of the many things I love about CNR is that it offers very close relationships between the students and professors. This is because it is a small college with a lovely campus where everything is open and available to students.
– Jelena Krstic
I always knew I wanted to become a teacher, and CNR has a variety of teacher certification programs from which to choose. I was also attracted to the College becauseof the location. I could be away at school, and also close to home. I also loved the small school environment of the College. I knew that at CNR I would receive the individualized attention that would help me prepare for my future.
– Allison Ippoliti
I think one of the greatest things about CNR is the community. The professors are always willing to help and they know who you are. Unlike at other colleges where you are just a number.
